Privacy Policy

The games, Arena, printable cards and warm-ups need no account. We don't ask for a name or an email. What a student says or types stays on their device: the voice games and “say it out loud” turns read loudness and pitch from the microphone and keep nothing, and Drive mode reads prompts aloud with the device's own voice. When the browser can, a spoken answer is also turned into text on the device to give feedback, and that text is never stored or sent. Feedback on a typed game answer is worked out in the browser too. Game progress is saved in that browser only.

With a class code (Coach Mode), a student adds a nickname their teacher asks for, and each finished game sends us counts: which game, how many turns and seconds, and which kinds of argument flaws were missed. Never an email, never anything the student typed or said. Only that class's teacher sees it.

Signed in with Google (practice reps, Studio and the AI coach, ages 13 and up), we receive your name, email and profile photo. We process the audio you record or upload, its transcript, the topic you enter and the feedback we generate for you, and we count your uses so daily limits work. In the games, a signed-in student can tap “Get Vox's coaching” on an answer they typed: only then is that answer, with the game's question, sent to us and to Claude for feedback. It isn't saved; we keep a count for the daily limit.

We don't show ads or sell data. We don't use recordings or transcripts to train AI models, and we tell our AI providers not to log or train on them. We don't record student screens (no session replay). We never score accent, dialect or grammar.

For signed-in features: AssemblyAI (speech to text; we delete the transcript and audio from their servers once we have it, or if the job fails), Anthropic Claude through OpenRouter (feedback, with data collection denied), Tavily (web search on your topic only, never audio), OpenAI (read-aloud) and Supabase (accounts, results, and Coach Mode records). For everyone: Vercel and Railway (hosting), Vercel Analytics (anonymous page-view counts) and Sentry (crash reports, with names, emails, tokens and request contents removed before they leave).

Signed-in analysis history stays in your account so you can see progress over a season. Audio sent for analysis sits in temporary server storage and is deleted when the analysis finishes, within about two hours at most. We never keep a raw recording.

In Coach Mode, a student who taps Leave (or “Clear this device”) is deleted with everything they sent, and a teacher can remove any student or the whole class.

There's no self-serve delete button for accounts yet. Email info.vocius@gmail.com from your account email and we'll delete any analysis or your whole account, normally within 7 days.

The games, Arena and cards collect nothing personal, so any age can use them. Coach Mode is meant for classes a teacher runs: for students under 13, a teacher uses it under their school's authorization for classroom tools (FTC guidance lets a school give that consent for educational use), and can have students join with a class number instead of a name.

Signing in is for students 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in, email info.vocius@gmail.com and we will delete the account.

The founding-partner form on /partners is for adults at schools and programs. It asks for your organization, your name, your role, your work email, your city and state, and, if you like, about how many kids you serve and a note. It never asks about individual students.

We use it only to reply to you and set things up. We don't sell it or add you to a mailing list. Your organization's name goes on our partners page only after you tell us yes in writing, and comes down the day you ask. To have your request deleted, email info.vocius@gmail.com.
